Welcome to Pegasus Performing Arts

Drama, theatre and performing arts opportunities for children, young people and home-educated students in Corby, Northamptonshire and the surrounding areas.

Founded in October 2023 by Principal Kerrie Davis, Pegasus Performing Arts is a not-for-profit performing arts company passionate about developing confidence, creativity, communication and performance skills through high-quality drama education and real theatre experiences.

Our work is rooted in the educational principles of Montessori and Kolb’s experiential learning, creating a child-centred, practical and inclusive environment where young people learn through doing, exploring, reflecting and creating.

From drama classes, theatre workshops and devised theatre to singing, performance, new writing and recognised performing arts qualifications, we support young people both on stage and behind the scenes.

Just four months after forming, in February 2024, Pegasus students performed with the Royal Shakespeare Company, appearing as the Prince’s Counsel in the Romeo and Juliet: First Encounters tour. Later that year, our students took their original devised production, Not This Tide!, to the RSC and were invited to perform on the Royal Holloway Stage in Stratford-upon-Avon.

We have since twice participated in the National Theatre Connections programme, performing on the prestigious Royal & Derngate stage, giving our students invaluable experience of professional theatre-making and performance.

New writing and original theatre are at the heart of Pegasus. We encourage young people to develop their own ideas, devise work, explore storytelling and find their individual creative voice. Our classes nurture teamwork, self-expression, leadership, resilience and the confidence to perform.

We also offer formal performing arts qualifications through Trinity College London and LAMDA, helping students work towards recognised accreditation while developing their acting, communication and performance abilities.

Our programme includes opportunities for home education, children’s drama, youth theatre, teen theatre, singing and musical theatre, theatre production, devising, performance development and creative arts education.

Looking ahead, our 2026 and 2027 projects include The Great Christmas Mix-Up, performed by our teen class for an audience of under-7s; My Girl Mary, a heartwarming drama created with our home education class; and The Orchid Project, a special legacy project being completed in memory of our student Ella Walden.

At Pegasus Performing Arts, we believe every young person deserves the opportunity to create, perform, gain confidence, achieve qualifications and make their mark in the world of theatre.
